What is that white stuff falling from the sky??

2•12•2010

Yes, it snowed AGAIN in Louisiana!!!  This is starting to become a yearly event around heFirst big snow since I was maybe 6 was Dec. 11, 2008.  That was the most snow {sneaux!} I’ve ever seen in Baton Rouge.  Then it snowed again this past December on the 4th.  Not near as much, it barely accumulated and it was late so it was hard to see.  It sure didn’t stop Hailey from getting outside and trying to catch snowflakes in her mouth!  Now this past Friday, February 12th it snowed yet again!  It did accumulate, probably alittle over an inch but nothing close to 2008.  It had rained so much the night before that the ground was so wet and it wasn’t quite freezing temps outside.  The most of the snow was melting on ground contact.  It was just crazy to open the blinds at 7:00am on Friday morning and snow was falling from the sky.  The crazy, unpredictable weather of South Louisiana!  It’s funny how there were no hurricanes this past year but we got off of school for another SNEAUX day!  Unfortunately our yard was way too wet under the snow to go play in it.  The snowfall lasted till about noon and quickly melted away leaving no trace of snow anywhere.  In 2008 you could still see snow on roof tops and on the ground the next two days after it snowed.  I doubt we’ll see anything like that again….but you never know!
