Garrett in Utah

It’s safe to say Garrett had a blast in Utah visiting his stepdad Jebby.  He’s been craving a trip to the mountains and he definitely got that!  First the trip started out with our typical “good” luck.  We wake up early (we as in ALL of us) and leave at 5am to bring him to the airport.  His flight “departed” at 7….so we thought.  I drop him at the door, we say our goodbyes (Rylan cries and cries ) and I’m on my way home.  When I get to about 3 miles from the house Garrett calls and says his flight just got canceled, yes CANCELED, not delayed.  They scheduled him on new flights, he went from one layover to two and he now departs at 2pm!  So I turn around and go back to the airport to pick him up and bring him back in the afternoon for his flight.  Whew!  Exhausting and it is only just the beginning!  He ended up getting delayed at each airport, almost missed his flight in Houston and didn’t reach Utah until about 11pm!  Now that the crazy trip there is out of the way the fun can begin!  He had skiing lessons and caught on very fast and was skiing like a “pro” in no time.  I think he’d move there if I’d agree (which I wont, lol!).  I’m so happy he was able to spend some time with his dad and get away for some guy time!
