Well all that waiting is finally over, completely over. We are now back home from our 8 day trip to Disney World. The weather stayed nice, 65-80 degrees the whole trip. One really warm day and the rest were very pleasant. We did all the parks, most twice and had character dinners almost every night.
Waiting for our plane at the New Orleans Airport. We woke up at about 4:45am and got to the airport at about 7am. Way too early for us!!
This was our hotel Pop Century. Everything was centered around pop icons from the different decades. Our room was in the 80’s but it was funny to see all the old games and things from way back. And as you can see everything is REALLY BIG!
This was a typical day…waiting at a bus stop for 20 minutes to go to the parks. It seemed every morning we watched the bus we needed drive off right as we walked up. Missing it by a minute, then had to wait for the next one which normally took up to 20 minutes. The ride only took about 10 minutes to get to the park so it wasn’t that bad.
Magic Kingdom…..
I loved Main Street in the Magic Kingdom. It really made me feel like a little kid. The castle is amazing. I’ve been to Disney when I was about 6 and don’t really remember much.
On our first day we walked down Main Street and looked at the castle for the first time. As we walked up a stage show started. The music and fireworks and characters really just set the mood. The girls were in aw. Talk about great timing!
The girls loved to ride the monorail. It was a nice change from riding the buses.
We may of had to wait half an hour but they got to meet Cinderella.
and Belle…
and Princess Aurora “Sleeping Beauty”
Main Street was beautifully lit at night.
Day 2: Magic Kingdom {again}
One of the many parades we watched. So FUN!!!
Character Breakfast at Ohana’s Restaurant. Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto came to visit!!
Look at Rylan’s face, lol, poor baby didn’t like that ride too much! Hailey actually looks pretty freaked out too!
Rylan’s trip was officially complete….20 minute wait, but she finally got to meet Ariel!!! Like you can’t tell she’s excited at all!
Our first night in Magic Kingdom we got a not so great spot to watch the fireworks, so day 2 we knew better! Awesome, awesome, awesome!!! Can’t even begin to explain!
Dinner at 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian. Cinderella and her family.
Epcot
Our Last Night at The Spirit Of Aloha Luau
Epcot Face Painting…Princess Kitty
Just watched Magic Kingdom fireworks from Ohana’s, now waiting to be seated.
The kids got up and did a parade through the restaurant, then learned a hula dance.
After dinner one night we took a bus to Downtown Disney so we could get on another bus back to our hotel. We stopped and walked around there. This is for you Bryan….a huge Lego Dinosaur. Talk about a job, sitting and building huge Lego models. There was some amazing restaurants themed to the max. One was Dinosaur, T Rex I believe was the name, with huge dinosaurs all throughout it.
The girls with their Lego Family
Hollywood Studios
We really liked this park, unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to do everything. We were there a full day but the park was EXTREMELY busy and we waited in line more than we actually played :(
Garrett and Hailey tried all the rides, me and Rylan would hang out and wait for them.
I wish we could of seen the American Idol Experience but we ran out of time.
High School Musical Show on one of the streets of Hollywood Studios was great! Hailey knew all the words and sang right along. Rylan was picked out of the crowd to participate…that didn’t work out so great as you can see!
Rylan and I getting off our “Race Car” ride which she drove!
Oh Dumbo….how I wish you lasted more than a minute and a half considering we waited about 30 just to ride you!!! There was no leaving without riding this though.
Can’t see Hailey too well but she’s there! This was at the Luau right before our food came.
