Hailey had to gather scrapbook supplies to bring to school next week to create a 4th grade timeline memory book. I went to Hobby Lobby to get her book, which of course this week that stuff wasn’t on sale and no 40% off coupon..BOO!! So I walked up and down the aisle and couldn’t believe how expensive the books were! I mean some were super cute, which I wanted for her but they were over $25….just for the empty book!! I just couldn’t spend that much considering this is an in class project, if you know what I mean! So I opted for the cheap $9.99 ugly 12x12 vinyl book. My color choices consisted of drab brown and funky maroon. I went with the drab brown :( The book just looked so sad and ugly. So I bought a sheet of pink zebra paper, some star stickers and Mod Podge and figured I’d MAKE it cute! Thankfully my friend had tons and TONS of scrapbook supplies and let me have paper to go inside. So Hailey’s book is filled with cute patterned papers, extra paper to back her pictures with, stickers and letters. I then printed out her name on the computer and we cut that out. I was trying to think of something cute to put on the cover, like a saying. Everything just seemed too grown up for her age, until I thought about her favorite book series….Diary of a Wimpy Kid. So her cover now says….”Diary of a 4th Grade Kid”. Isn’t that stinkin cute!?! She fell out when she saw it! So I decoupaged it all to the cover, which may I add I have never done that before so it was all new to me. It’s a little sloppy but it will do, I know what I’m doing now for next time. I thought it came out really cute, and much, MUCH better than the before picture!!!

Isn’t that SOOO much cuter!!! By the way, that’s a picture of Hailey and her teacher Mrs. Finch on the cover.
