My sweet little baby Rylan….all I have left of a “baby….just learned how to ride her bike WITHOUT training wheels!!!! I still cannot believe! She learned in one day and was riding all around. It wasn’t easy, there were many, many tears shed. (which for those that know her is a normal thing) Garrett helped her by holding her seat and running up and down the street with her. She freaked out and would start crying, then get off and run into the house. Then she was back to try again…and repeat! That was yesterday evening, which lasted all of about 15 minutes. Today….she got out very excited to try again. She got on her bike and was trying by herself in the driveway. She could just about peddle around one to two times then she’d put her foot down. Next, I ran with her holding her seat. She would ride most the time without me holding. We’ve had one fall so far (knock on wood!). She was trying to get on or off, not really sure which, and she couldn’t steady the bike and it tipped over. So she fell and the bike then fell on top of her. So of coarse that was a tragedy and she immediately freaked out. But we brushed it off and were back up and going again. So Garrett went and helped her and she just got it!!! Just like that she started riding by herself. Next thing we know she’s riding to the cul de sac and hasn’t slowed down! I’m so proud of her! Another milestone accomplished and behind us, which is actually a little sad. :( I have no more babies to teach to ride a bike. Well I have to get over that my babies aren’t babies anymore!
