Where O where has my little blog gone???

My apologies for falling off the face of the earth for months now. I had some computer issues way too long ago and my computer is STILL not fixed yet!! Hopefully I'll have it back soon. I'm using a much, much slower, temporary computer right now and it's so difficult to do all the things I need to do on it. I use a blog updating program which I do not have on this computer so that's one reason I haven't been updating. Along with the fact that my camera takes rather large pictures and they take forever to upload to this computer. I also do not have my photo editing software either so I haven't really uploaded any pictures in months. I'll have a lot of catching up to do.

I left off in July....WOW...let's see what all has happened since then....

July 29th: My 28th Birthday. Nothing special, just another day. I really don't remember what we did besides get together at mom and dad's. Another one down...getting waaaayy too close to the big 3-0!! (YIKES!!!)

August 6th: 1st day of School!!! Hailey started 5th grade...she's a "senior" at their school this year, then it's off to the middle school. That scares me terribly. It seems like yesterday she started Kindergarten and now she's almost finished with elementary school. {sigh}
-Rylan started 1st grade...already growing up so fast. :(

So far the school year has been good. Hailey has MUCH more responsibilities, such as using a planner and having to write down all her homework and tests. Normally they would send home a homework sheet...not this year. She tried the first few weeks marking no homework on all the days thinking that I'd never find out and she just wouldn't have to do it. Well she was in for a rude awakening. The teachers definitely check whether the homework is completed (for a grade) and it's posted on the school website so I can check the homework that should be written down. We corrected that issue and since then she's written (most) everything down. Rylan has lots of homework now. Real work, like spelling words and vocabulary and reading assignments. I definitely have to help her each day. It's been an adjustment for sure. Rather hectic in the afternoons but we like to get the work done right away so it's less to worry about. Hailey was accepted into Junior Beta Club, which is a big honor at school. You have to be on honor roll and have great conduct to be accepted. They've only had one meeting so far, but she's currently running for Vice-President!! We'll see how the election goes in the near future.

August 22nd: Hailey turned 10!!! Omg, I'm so OLD!!! She was very, very excited about hitting the double digits!

Rylan is still in gymnastics. She was advanced to the higher level class about a month ago and it's such a better class for her. She's learning so quickly and loves every minute of it. We just this week had to change her 2 day a week schedule down to 1 day :( She was upset but we just can't handle that much and all this school work. They got a new gym, which thank the lord is air conditioned. It's farther from us now but worth the drive.

Hailey started dance again. She took a year off from dancing but now is in a "hip hop" class. It's so much fun and the girls are loving it. She has a few friends including one of her best friend's in her class which is great. Seemed like we were taking them somewhere almost every other night...Oh wait, WE WERE!! Now we only have 2 nights a week that there's extracurricular activities.

Halloween costumes are purchased. Rylan is Ariel (the little mermaid) and Hailey is a cute witch.

Garrett's been on a HUGE new construction custom home for weeks now. Very extravagant and large. Always nice when there's steady work.

I've been SUPER busy preparing for New Orleans market in November. I'm very stressed that I won't hit my goal before the show. So far I have 500 glasses painted but only have 3 weeks left till we leave. After market I'll be full force into Holiday busyness. Very unbelievable that it's already that time of the year. It really just doesn't feel like a year has gone by. Sad to think if this is how fast the years will go, my kids will be grown up before I know it.

Report cards go home for the first time this year next Friday.

That's a good catch up for now. Can't really think of much more at the moment.
